Erosion Control Coir Blankets
Coir Erosion Control Logs are used along streams of running water to protect against widening and soil erosion. The Coir Logs are made up of coir fiber or rolled up coir pads encased in coir nets. Coco logs are kept at the edge of the bank secured with wooden pegs may be used on alternate sides of logs. Coco logs work as a brake on waves and reduces the impact of erosion. If the stream bed is lined with erosion control blankets and edged with Erosion Control Logs this helps keep the running water in in check and also allows nature to take root in the form of algae etc. Over the long run the natural vegetation will take over and control the soil erosion.

Erosion Control Coir Nets
Coir Erosion Control Nets are perfect ecofriendly product to control soil erosion. When an area is devoid of vegetation, erosion tends to occur due to water and air. In order to control the erosion, some form of material need to be used to provide ground cover. Currently there are a number of synthetic textiles used for this purpose, however these synthetic materials create additional problems in the form of pollution due to degradation over a period of time in toxic material and by leeching in to ground water. They are rich brown lightweight blocks made from coco fibre mulch which comes from the inside of the coconut shell and is a natural by-product of coconuts. Coir Pith
A spongy material that binds the coconut fibre in the husk, coir pith is finding new applications. It is an excellent soil conditioner and is being extensively used as a soil-less medium for agri-horticultural purposes.
